The Assistant Tax Manager oversees the company’s tax compliance, reporting, and planning functions. This role ensures accurate and timely filing of national and local tax requirements while providing operational tax support to real estate activities, including property sales, leasing, and corporate transactions. Key Responsibilities 1. Tax Compliance & Reporting Review and prepare national and local tax returns (VAT, EWT, FWT, income tax, DST, etc.). Ensure timely filing and payment of BIR and LGU-related tax obligations. Monitor tax calendars and compliance deadlines across multiple projects/entities. Oversee reconciliation of tax accounts with the general ledger. Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. 2. Real Estate & Transactional Tax Support Provide support in reviewing tax implications of property sales, leasing, and other transactions. Assist in reviewing contracts (CTS, DOAS, lease agreements, contractor agreements) from a tax compliance perspective. Provide assistance in handling transfer taxes, capital gains tax, and documentary stamp tax requirements, as needed. Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and Project teams on tax-related documentation and compliance requirements. 3. Audit & Regulatory Support Provide support during BIR audits, LOAs, and tax assessments. Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and documentation required during tax examinations. Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for compliance requirements. 4. Tax Planning & Advisory Support tax planning initiatives to ensure tax efficiency and compliance. Monitor tax law updates and assist in assessing their impact on business operations. Provide internal guidance on proper tax treatments and documentation requirements. 5. Process Improvement & Controls Recommend improvements in tax compliance processes and internal controls. Ensure proper documentation and retention of tax records. Assist in system enhancements and reporting improvements within Microsoft D365.

Qualification +

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; CPA preferred. 5–8 years of tax experience in corporate or property-related industries. Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation (income tax, VAT, withholding taxes); working knowledge of real estate-related taxes is an advantage. Experience supporting BIR audits and tax assessments. Proficient in Microsoft D365 and advanced Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
