• Conduct on-site inspections of civil engineering works to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications • Monitor construction activities and verify that work adheres to engineering standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements • Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accurate execution • Identify and report construction defects, deviations, or non-compliance issues to engineers and project managers • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project teams to resolve on-site issues promptly • Verify materials, equipment, and workmanship meet project and safety standards • Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and documentation for project tracking and auditing purposes • Ensure construction activities follow safety protocols and environmental regulations • Support project managers in ensuring timely completion of civil works within budget and quality expectations • Assist in pre-construction and post-construction evaluations and handover inspections
Civil Works Inspector
-Conduct on-site inspections of civil works, including earthworks, roadworks, drainage, structural components, and slope protection. -Ensure that construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, and engineering standards. -Identify and report any defects, deviations, or non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions. -Perform material testing and quality checks to confirm compliance with project requirements. -Monitor the progress of civil works and ensure that construction activities are completed according to schedule. -Prepare and maintain daily inspection reports, photographic documentation, and records of site activities. -Coordinate with contractors and project teams to address issues and ensure proper implementation of design specifications. -Ensure that all construction activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations. -Conduct site safety inspections and enforce corrective measures if necessary. -Verify compliance with local building codes, government regulations, and project permits. -Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and contractors to resolve technical issues. -Participate in progress meetings and provide updates on site conditions and inspection findings. -Assist in reviewing and approving method statements, construction plans, and work procedures. -Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and approvals. -Assist in preparing punch lists and ensuring corrective actions are implemented before project handover. -Contribute to final project documentation and reports for project close-out.
-Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. -Licensed Civil Engineer.
